Overview: The marvelous underwater world of the Two Oceans Aquarium provides a fascinating seascape of marine life and a splendor of colours, patterns, textures, shapes and sizes. Watching the vast number of different fish species and other aquatic creatures gracefully swim by in their watery habitats is both stimulating and relaxing.
The I&J Predator Exhibit, where sharks, turtles, eagle and spotted rays reside, is a hot favourite among the young fry. Feeding takes place at this Exhibit daily at 3.00pm. The Touch Pool is an interactive area where smaller kids will have tactile fun with sea urchins, seaweed, starfish, crabs and kelp. Try also to watch the penguin feeds daily at 11:30 and 2:30.
It’s a day at the beach at the Afrisam Children’s play Centre! The Play Centre is always buzzing with the excitement and energy of children. Their gleeful laughter filters through other areas of the Aquarium as they are entertained and informed through puppet shows featuring delightful shark, octopus, penguin, eel, turtle and sunfish hand- puppets. Children are also encouraged to create fishy art works from recycled materials to take home to their families. This area is also abuzz with excitement during school holidays when specially organized programs and activities are on offer.
